About Michèle
Michèle Lallemand Brazil spent 15 years crafting stories for some of the most powerful platforms in media. As a producer for The Oprah Winfrey Show, HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, and The Sundance Channel, she shaped narratives, elevated voices, and mastered the art of making people feel something in the span of a few minutes.
She was very good at telling other people's stories.
It took stepping away from all of it to learn how to tell her own.
When Michèle left her career to raise her children, she encountered something she hadn't anticipated. The question "What do you do?" became a reckoning. Answering it with "I'm home with the kids" revealed how much of her identity had been built on external validation, on titles, on the rooms she occupied and the work she produced.
She had spent years giving other people a voice. In the quiet of that pause, she had to find her own.
She didn't wait for it to return. She went looking for it.
What followed was not a reinvention. It was a recalibration.
Michèle pushed her physical limits through competitive racing. She stepped into civic leadership, joining the boards of organizations she believed in deeply. She became a board member and ultimately Board Chair of the Fiver Children's Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to giving children from under-resourced communities the tools and experiences to thrive. She took on leadership roles with the Central Park Conservancy's Women's Committee and served as Grant Committee Co-Chair of Impact 100 NYC, one of New York City's most dynamic women's philanthropic giving circles.
Over more than two decades of nonprofit governance and philanthropic leadership, she learned something that no media career had taught her: that the most powerful leaders are not the ones performing confidence. They are the ones who have done the quiet, unglamorous work of understanding who they are and what they actually stand for.
That realization became her platform.
Today Michèle is a keynote speaker and leadership strategist who brings rare credibility to every stage she stands on. She speaks to women navigating transitions and to nonprofit boards and philanthropic leaders ready to lead at a higher level. Her keynotes blend the storytelling discipline of a seasoned media producer with the earned authority of someone who has sat in the chair, run the meeting, and done the work.
She is not teaching theory. She is sharing what she knows from the inside.
The confidence, the authority, the voice you have been searching for was never missing. It has been yours all along. The work is learning to claim it.
